Performs on recorders and flutes with Bach Collegium San Diego, Music Angelica, Concordia Clarimontis, and her own group, Accenti. Holds a Doctorate in Early Music Performance from USC. Director of the Collegium Musicum at U.C. Riverside, teaches recorder and flute at Claremont Graduate University, and baroque flute at USC. Has taught at many West Coast early music workshops, including San Francisco, Hidden Valley Elderhostel, and Port Townsend. Janet also tours, performs, and teaches music in the bluegrass tradition.

International performing artist now based in Seattle. Former teacher at the Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen, and at the Ishøj Municipal School of Music. Teaches at USC, Los Angeles. Founding member of Ciaramella, with performances in the United States, Canada and Europe. Touring member of Piffaro (1996-2007). Member of Sex Chordae Consort of Viols, Wildcat Viols and the viol duo Hallifax & Jeffrey. Teaches privately and at workshops in the U.S. and abroad. Viol player since 1976, performing throughout the U.S., in Canada, Mexico, Europe and Australia. Co-director of Barefoot Chamber Concerts; serves on the Viola da Gamba Society of America board of directors; cofounder and active member of the Viola da Gamba Society, Pacifica Chapter.
SHIRA KAMMEN, vielle, Berkeley, California
Performs and teaches medieval, renaissance and traditional music nationally and internationally. Directs a number of ensembles and choruses in the Bay Area and has produced several recordings and books of her own compositions and arrangements. Can be heard on dozens of other recordings and soundtracks for fi lm and video games.

Has taught at Indiana University, USC, and directs the Baroque Flute and Continuo Players Boot Camp in Seattle.

PETER SEIBERT, theory, composition, & large ensembles, Seattle, Washington
Active composer who writes for professional musicians as well as for amateurs. His music has been performed on four continents, and his output extends from music for historical instruments to works for chorus (Missa brevis, 2002, and Requiem, 2007) and for modern orchestra (Terpsichore Revisited, 2009). Has taught at early music workshops since 1968, has been music director of the Seattle Recorder Society since 1970, and taught recorder at the University of Washington School of Music from 1971–1991.
