At its November meeting, the SRS board approved a proposal presented by Ellis Hillinger for the continuation of the Fall Fipple Flute Forum in 2024  This year’s event (the fifth FFFF) will be held on Saturday and Sunday, September 21-22, 2024. It will be held at Shoreline Community College, just north of Seattle. The workshop is targeted to the needs of intermediate players, but will also have classes of interest to players of all abilities. Faculty will include Anne Timberlake, author of excellent recorder blog posts (www.annetimberlake.com/blog), as well as our own Vicki Boeckman and Miyo Aoki.

The cost of the workshop will be the same as last time. Evaluations of the 2022 workshop indicated that participants desired longer class sessions. This time they will be increased from 60 to 75 minutes, making a total of 5 hours of instruction time each day.

As the workshop draws near, you will find additional information here in Recorder Notes, as well as at the FFFF website, www.recorderworkshop.org.
