Members’ Night on Friday, May 3, is shaping up to be a lively evening featuring nearly 20 separate groups and individuals performing selections composed from the Renaissance up through the present. Friends and family are welcome to attend at no charge. A reception will follow the concert.

As usual, several of Laura Townsend’s studio ensembles will share music they have been working on this season. Also, Ellis and Cathy’s “Woodland Consort” will present selections from a little-known collection of pieces by Maurizio Cazzati. Christopher Corfman will perform as a soloist, and several duos will present their music. Duos include Virginia and Nancy, Dave and Karen, and Jack and Virginia.
Our own Back Room Gang will share their music for the first time. The long-standing Big Byrds Consort, currently including Molly, Anne, Hanan, Jim and Gerrity will play ((but no BYrd music this year.) The Lake City Waites will also appear, featuring Linet, Lauren, Jherek, Sue and Janice. The Spice Girls, including Cathy, Nancy, Belinda and Jill,will perform as well.
And once again this year, we will be treated to music by young recorder students including Maple and David, with piano accompaniment.
Master of ceremonies for the program will be in-coming president Nancy Bent. We will stream the entire event on Zoom, but we will not be recording it.
