Volunteer opportunity: write our meeting re-caps
Would you be willing to write an account of our playing at one of our monthly meetings? We are seeking volunteers to take on this task for a meeting or two in the next season. If you are willing to be a “Da Capo” author, please contact Virginia Felton (newsletter@seattle-recorder.org) or Evy Dudey (evy.dudey@gmail.com). You do not need to be an expert writer or music critic—your own personal impressions are what count! Plus, we have proofreaders standing by to polish your prose.
These personal accounts are much appreciated by members, especially those who are unable to attend. Let us know if you are willing to give it a try.
SRS summer schedule and membership renewals
After Members’ Night, Seattle Recorder Society takes a summer hiatus.
Members will receive a Summer Newsletter in June or July that will contain a recap of Members Night and some news items, and then monthly newsletters will resume in August with information about our September meeting. We will also be having a late summer get-together on the afternoon of Saturday, August 17 at Faith Lutheran Church. It will include a potluck and time for both playing and socializing. Look for more information in the Summer edition of RECORDER NOTES.
You can also expect an email notice about membership renewal around the middle of summer.
