Although it seems like it happened quite a while ago, I’d like to extend a special thank you to all our Members’ Night performers, and to all who zoomed in last month. It was truly a delightful evening highlighting the impressive diversity and talent within our community – the crowning glory of our highly successful past season. Check out Evy Dudey’s Da Capo article to see all the wonderful photos and read her write-up.

My thoughts are now turned toward our upcoming Port Townsend Early Music Workshop in Tacoma. Registration is officially closed, but if you are kicking yourself for not having signed up, we might be able to squeeze you in (call Admin. Director Jo Baim at (206) 932-4623). I am excited to be co-creating, learning, and sharing music and memories with colleagues, friends, and students. Even if you are not attending the workshop, please consider car-pooling down with a friend for the all-faculty concert on Thursday evening July 13 at 7:30 pm. I promise it will be a lot of fun and well worth the drive.

Another concert that I am very excited to share is coming up very soon – this Saturday, June 24 at 5:00 pm at Westminster Church in Everett. An hour of stunning music by magnificent Renaissance composers, played on beautiful copies of Renaissance recorders. You’ll find the details in “Upcoming local recorder events” below.

I hope to see you around town at some of these events and will look forward to seeing you at our monthly meetings next season. May your summer’s adventures be stimulating and rejuvenating, and everything that you dream up for yourselves.
